Positive: We chose this bed and breakfast because of all the fabulous reviews on Booking.com and WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! Jean, our host, was friendly, attentive, and interested in making our experience a pleasant one. Coming from the United States, it seems we were a novelty, but we were driving from Metz back to Paris and wanted a small village. Jean shared historical information about the area and about his home. We enjoyed the kebab restaurant down the road, even though they were wondering what Americans were doing there! We love the backroads of Europe! And we love meeting the people! The experience was exactly as we had hoped! The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was generous. When we come back to Metz, we will definitely come back to Solgne!
Negative: We would like a soft-boiled egg at breakfast. We eat a bit more protein.
Summary: One of our favorite stays in Europe!
